What information do you collect and how is it used?
We collect Personally Identifiable Information (e.g., email address, phone #) on this web site. For example, we collect email addresses of those who ask to receive a weekly update of the Chapell Blog on Privacy. We use these email addresses exclusively to send out our weekly update, and will not share them with third parties. List members may remove themselves from the list by either replying to the weekly update with "unsubscribe" in the subject line, or by sending an email by clicking here. Unsubscribe requests are generally processed within 72 hours.
If you send us an email (e.g., to ask us a question) we will generally capture any information you provide within that email. If you'd like to be removed from our files, please click here. We will process your request in a reasonable amount of time -- generally, about 72 hours.
We reserve the right to disclose any information we have as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our web site.
What is your security policy?
The security of your information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
